Established in New Zealand and named after creative director Sarah’s late mother, our shoes are inspired by Bronwyn and the many like minded women in our lives. Conscious and forward-thinking women who lead multifaceted lives, with an appreciation for a minimalist aesthetic and an eye for detail.
From last to leather, our design ethos centres around thoughtful silhouettes and considered details, contemporary comfort and unwavering quality, designed to be worn for seasons to come.
Each of our shoes are meticulously hand crafted and brought to life by our ethical partners in China.
Bronwyn is a minimalist approach to wardrobe footwear, consciously curated for the modern woman.

As a footwear brand and creator of product, it’s our responsibility to ensure we tread as lightly as possible and operate in a way that is considerate and respectful of people and planet, with the aim to constantly improve and move towards a better and more circular approach to fashion.
Consciously curated for us means that we’re committed to ensuring all the shoes we include in our collections have been carefully considered; with each last, toe shape and detail meticulously designed to ensure they remain elevated yet timeless, to be worn for seasons to come.
We are fortunate to work alongside an incredible female owned and led Women’s shoe factory in Dongguan, China. Our manufacturing partners are committed to sustainability and ethical practises like us, and have signed our code of conduct agreement. This agreement is aligned with the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) base code to monitor standards. It ensures the safe and fair working conditions for all employees, supports the factory to operate in an ethical and efficient way, and ensures environmental codes and best practices are adhered to including waste management, energy efficiency and water conservation. It also reviews the positive impact the factory has on the community in which it operates.
The tanneries our factory partners with are LWG (Leather Working Group) accredited tanneries meaning sustainable practises are adhered to in terms of the environment, the local economy and society.
We use cardboard boxes in our packaging that can be recycled, and recycled and new paper tissue. We do not use any plastic in any of our packing for shipments. With local couriers we use compostable courier bags. When shipment production our aim is always to sea freight stock to New Zealand in order to reduce our carbon footprint.
In moving towards a more sustainable business model we want to be vulnerable and acknowledge that we are not perfect, but we’re excited about beginning our brand journey into sustainability. Here we will share our goals and let you know the dates that we have met them.
Our goal is to only sea freight production to reduce carbon footprint.
Our goal is to manufacture from a predominantly on-demand model, fulfilling orders with stockists before placing production orders with our factory, to ensure we’re not over producing goods.
A chic and timeless foundation colour palette ensures that our shoes can be paired with everything, season and season.
Our goal is to establish a collection that uses dead stock or recycled leathers as part of our brand strategy.
More size inclusivity by 2024.
